Shubhman Gill at the top has been impressive for the Knight Riders while the make shift opener, Sunil Narine have given them brisk starts on many occasions. The batting is expected to remain that way. Their bowling, however, looks a bit sluggish. Pat Cummins hasn’t had the best series against England; KuldeepYadav was terrible in 2019 while Indian pace contingent is not that experienced.

It will be interesting to see with what playing XI Knight Riders go in. With the little bit of grass cover on the pitch, they’ll be tempted to go in with three seamers with Pat Cummins, Shivam Mavi, Prasidh Krishna being the chosen one. Andre Russell could also prove to be handy with the ball.

Mumbai Indian continued their tradition of losing the first game of the tournament also in IPL 2020. They were rusty and looked like a team who hasn’t played a match for a long time.
