 Info:

  • Both teams will be looking to get early advantage into the tournament.
  • After winning their first game with Mumbai Indians, Chennai went down to a tough loss against Rajasthan Royals in the next game. The loss has exposed a lot of loop holes in the Chennai Super Kings camp.
  • Delhi Capitals started their tournament with a nervy win over Kings XI Punjab but wasn't at their best in the game. They too need to fix several issues before they take on the most successful team in the history of the IPL.

 Toss Prediction
Toss could go either way but the team winning the toss should look to put runs on the board. Teams batting second have found it difficult to chase on this pitch.

 Weather & Pitch Report
🏟️ Pitch:
The match will be played on the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai. The pitch at Dubai has offered some assistance to the pacers with the new ball and is expected to play the same. Batting hasn’t been that easy on the ground with teams settling for scores around 150 in the previous matches. Any score that crosses the 160 mark on this pitch should be a tough one for the opposition.

⛅ Weather:
The weather at Dubai is expected to make the players sweat with temperatures touching 40 degree Celsius.

 Team NEWS:

 CSK Team News:
Ambati Rayudu missed the game against Rajasthan Royals but is expected to be back in the team for the next match. It will be a huge boost for the Chennai team that’s sweating over the form of their batsmen.Apart from him, the form of Faf du Plessis is also a positive sign for Chennai Super Kings. However, two players can’t win you matches and CSK need players like Shane Watson, KedarJadhav and MS Dhoni to come good in the coming matches.

For Chennai their spinners have been their biggest strength in the middle overs but they’re taken to cleaners by the RR batsmen in their previous match. MS Dhoni can bring in Imran Tahir in place of Lungi Ngidi and Shardul Thakur can replace Piyush Chawla.

 DC Team News:
Delhi Capitals started their tournament with a nervy win over Kings XI Punjab in their opening game of the IPL 2020. They were good in the match but were definitely not at their best. Players like Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer got starts but couldn’t convert it into big ones. The form of Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw too will be giving headaches to the Delhi Capitals. Marcus Stonis definitely batted well but his consistency is always in question. One positive thing for DC is their bowling that looks pretty settled with Rabada and Anrich Nortje bowling splendidly. Axar Patel too had a fabulous game against Punjab. The only change that could be expected from them is Mohit Sharma being replaced by either Ishant Sharma or Avesh Khan.

 DC Key Players:

 Prithvi Shaw
Pritvi Shaw failed to deliver in their last match but we all know how destructive he can in the initial overs. The kind of attack Chennai has, Pritvi Shaw will definitely fancy himself for a big score.

 Shikhar Dhawan
Just like Shaw, Dhawan too will be eager to get himself going in the tournament. He didn’t get enough time at the crease in his last match but will be hopeful of a big knock against the Chennai Super Kings.

 Kagiso Rabada
Rabada can turn out to be a trump card for DC with his extra pace. Chennai openers have been struggling against genuine pace and Rabada is definitely a big threat to them with the new. With the old ball too, he has the skills to stop the run flow in the death overs.

 CSK Key Players:

 Faf du Plessis:
Faf has been in terrific touch in the two games he’s played. He once again will hold the key for Chennai in the middle order. He’s one player who’s good at rotating the strike and can stroke big when required.

 Shane Watson:
Shane Watson is one of those players that will not win you matches on a regular basis but on his day, he can single handedly decimate the opposition. Watson looked good in the previous match as we assume that a big knock is just round the corner.

 Deepak Chahar
Deepak Chahar has been outstanding for Chennai over the last few seasons. He’s a bowler that MS Dhoni banks upon and almost every time he’s delivered for his captain. He’ll be vital with the new ball.
