 Key Players:

 HEA Key Players:

Chris Lynn, Tom Banton and AB de Villiers will all be expected to score lots of runs and will be Brisbane Heat’s dangermen in terms of their top order. Max Bryant will likely open with Banton and is also an able batsman. They also have a few in the lower order, like Ben Cutting, who can hit boundaries if they’re needed. They also have the BBL’s top wicket-taker in Ben Laughlin who will carry their biggest threat with the ball. Spin-bowler Zahir Khan can give batsmen something to think about if they need to mix it up.

 STA Key Players:

There is a lot to admire about the Melbourne Stars bowlers. Dale Steyn is a solid addition to what was already a very capable bowling line-up. He will add a real threat at the beginning and end of matches. Seamer Pat Brown will also be expected to take wickets. Hilton Cartwright and Coulter-Nile will offer a real all-round ability to the team and Stoinis, also a solid all-rounder, will be expected to hit lots of boundaries.

 Team Forms:

 BRISBANE HEAT:

Brisbane Heat lost their first game of the BBL 2019/20 to Sydney Thunder by 29 runs. The side looked out of balance without enough depth down the batting order to mount the fight they needed to see of Sydney Thunder. Brisbane Heat made the tactical decision to only play five outright batsmen in order to use six bowlers in an attempt to get at the Sydney Thunder batsmen. This backfired after they lost three wickets early doors as they were left with limited batting power, which ultimately cost them the match. They may look to shake things up in this match.

 Melbourne Stars:

The Melbourne Stars lost out in last year’s final, finishing as runners up in all Melbourne affair, losing to the Renegades. They will be hoping that the turnover in playing staff will add to their performances rather than take anything away.

 SQUAD:
BRISBANE HEAT: Chris Lynn(c), Tom Banton(w), Sam Heazlett, Max Bryant, Matt Renshaw, Ben Cutting, Cameron Gannon, Josh Lalor, Ben Laughlin, Jimmy Peirson, Mark Steketee, Mitchell Swepson, Zahir Khan.

MELBOURNE STARS:  Ben Dunk, Marcus Stoinis, Nick Larkin, Glenn Maxwell(c), Peter Handscomb(w), Nic Maddinson, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Adam Zampa, Haris Rauf, Sandeep Lamichhane, Daniel Worrall, Hilton Cartwright, Clint Hinchliffe.

All the best
