Both teams won the toss twice in the group stage, and both teams fielded first on both occasions – as is the norm in this competition.

 DEG vs QAL Weather Report

While the chance of rain increases in the very late evening, Tuesday’s fixtures should not be affected with conditions as they have been all week – hot, sunny and clear.

 DEG vs QAL Pitch Condition

An even bounce makes the Sheikh Zayed wicket ideal for this tournament, where big hitting rules the day.

Team NEWS:

 DEG Team News

Kieron Pollard wasted no time catching his flight from India to Abu Dhabi after West Indies’ limited-overs series with Afghanistan. He slotted straight into the team and delivered a man-of-the-match performance last time out in T10 League 2019. Sheldon Cottrell did not feature, but he is another option now available, who could slot in.

 QAL Team News
Mujeeb Ur Rahman arrives to bolster the Qalandars’ bowling line-up as they look to get back to winning ways after their heavy defeat in their final match in Group B. Samit Patel came into the team for Laurie Evans last time out, providing an extra bowling option and claiming 1-6 from hos solitary over. Whether they feel they need the extra batsman again after a poor batting display remains to be seen.

 Key Players:

 DEG Key Players:

 Shane Watson:
Fell first ball last time out, but after top-scoring in each of the first two games – including a half-century first up – he has already proved his worth.

 Kieron Pollard:
The West Indies all-rounder was straight into his stride last time out, conceding 11 from his one over but then smashing four sixes on his way to 45* from 22 balls = a match-winning innings.

 Zahir Khan:
Claimed 1-20 last time out to move to four wickets in the tournament, proving himself opening the bowling for the Gladiators.

 QAL Key Players:

 Dawid Malan:
Top-scored in the first and third matches, showing the form he displayed for England in their T20i series success in New Zealand.

 Tom Banton:
Arrives with a reputation for big hitting and plenty of promise and delivered exactly that in Qalandars’ only win so far – smashing 53* from 28 balls against Northern Warriors.

 Lahiru Kumara:
The Sri Lankan paceman took seven wickets across the three matches in the first group stage, including 3-10 in the win against Northern Warriors.

 DEG vs QAL Dream11 Prediction:

Wicket-keeper

Both Luke Ronchi and Mohammad Shahzad will be at the top of their respective batting orders. Ronchi is 9.5 credits and Shahzad 8.5 credits and both are capable of more than they have showed so far. Ronchi’s price is higher with just cause but it is worth saving credits with Shahzad.

Batsmen

Shane Watson has been shifted to the batsman section having not bowled yet and he still costs 11 credits, but that is still well worth paying considering his form in the first two games. Dawid Malan has twice top-scored for Qalandars, meanwhile, to justify his ten-credit pricetag. At the other end of the pricing scale, Tom Banton is just 8.5 credits but his half-century in the second match proved his worth.

All-rounders

Kieron Pollard starred for the Gladiators last time out and yet he is crazy chap at 9.5 credits. Fellow big-hitting batsman Anton Devcich can be picked up for nine credits. For Qalandars, Seekkuge Prasanna and George Garton have picked up wickets so far and are both 8.5 credits.

Bowlers
~

Lahiru Kumara is in excellent bowling form, taking seven wickets so far, and so he is worth paying nine credits for. That leaves three bowling spaces, and Migael Pretorius and Zahir Khan have both showed excellent bowling form the Gladiators. Chris Jordan is a key figure for Qalandars, meanwhile, and has 155 points so far.

Captain/Vice-captain

Lahiru Kumara’s bowling form makes him hard to ignore. He has seven wickets so far and has been excellent with ball in hand. Migael Pretorius has come into bowling form too, while Shane Watson and Dawid Malan have proved themselves with the bat. After his man-of-the-match performance in his first game, however, Kieron Pollard is well worth picking as vice-captain

 Team Forms:

 Deccan Gladiators:

After losing their opening game, Deccan Gladiators have come back strong with back-to-back wins. Shane Watson hit 57* in a total of 102/1 against Delhi Bulls first up, but they lost by seven wickets despite Zahir Kahn’s 3-17. Watson top-scored again in a six-wicket against Bangla Tigers, however, after Migael Pretorius took 3-10 to limit the Tigers to 108/5. In the final game, meanwhile, Kieron Pollard’s arrival paid dividends as he smashed 45* from 22 balls to lead a chase of 111 to beat Karnataka Tuskers by five wickets.

 Qalandars:

Qalandars tied their first match with Team Abu Dhabi, reaching 103/3 in reply to 103/6, but they stormed to victory in their second – Tom Banton hitting 53* and George Garton and Lahiru Kumara each claiming 3-10 as they posted 112/4 and bowled Northern Warriors out for 46.

They were on the receiving end of a similarly heavy defeat last time out, however. Kumara took 2-34 as Maratha Arabians posted 107/8, but Qalandars could only limp to 60/4 in reply.

SQUAD:
Deccan Gladiators (From): Mohammad Shahzad(w), Shane Watson(c), Anton Devcich, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Ben Cutting, Migael Pretorius, Daniel Lawrence, Zahir Khan, Fawad Ahmed, Mason Crane, Zahoor Khan, Prashant Gupta, Tymal Mills, Imtiaz Ahmed, Sharif Asadullah, Asif Khan.

Qalandars Squad: Tom Banton, Luke Ronchi(w), Dawid Malan(c), Philip Salt, Jordan Clark, Seekkuge Prasanna, Chris Jordan, Samit Patel, Lahiru Kumara, George Garton, Sultan Ahmed, Imran Nazir, Sohail Akhtar, Shahid Afridi, Peter Trego, Laurie Evans, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Haris Rauf, Ahsan Mirza, Maaz Khan, Dilbar Hussain

All the best
