Team NEWS:

 DEG Team News

Deccan Gladiators were unchanged last time out, keeping faith with the team that played the opening game, and after winning they could stick with that line-up again.

 KAT Team News
Asad Pathan was replaced by Ryan ten Doeschate last time out, though the veteran Dutch all-rounder was not required with the bat. He could retain his place this time, however, at least until the full West Indies and Afghanistan contingent arrive in Abu Dhabi.

 Key Players:

 DEG Key Players:

 Shane Watson:
The captain has top-scored for the Gladiators in both matches so far. He started with 57* in the opening game and then hit 41 last time out.

 Fawad Ahmed:
Took a wicket last time out and remains a hugely important bowler given his form and reputation globally in T20 cricket too.

 Zahir Khan:
In superb form in the opening game, taking 3-17 from his two overs, and though he was wicketless last time out he could be key opening the bowling again.

 KAT Key Players:

 Sandeep Lamichhane:
The teenage Nepalese spinner was in stunning bowling form last time out, taking 2-9 from his two overs, to follow up his 1-19 in the first match.

 Pat Brown:
The new England international and T20 star took 2-19 in the opening game and will want to get back to that form after an expensive over last time out.

 Johnson Charles:
Hammered four fours and four sixes last time out as he hit top form with 57 from 29 balls at the top of the order.

 DEG vs KAT Dream11 Prediction:

Wicket-keeper

Johnson Charles hit top-form at the top of the order last time out. He is good value at 8.5 credits and out-performing Mohammad Shahzad who is the same price. Team-mate Shafiqullah is just eight credits but has 75 points so far.

Batsmen

Upul Tharanga was the Tuskers’ key batsmen in the first game and is nine credits, while Hashim Amla was in good form partnering Johnson Charles last time out and is worth picking up, even at 10.5 credits. Dan Lawrence is an exciting option for the Gladiators and is good value at 8.5 credits.

All-rounders

Shane Watson has top-scored for the Gladiators in each game so far. He is 11 credits but well worth that outlay. Anton Devcich is up the order for the Gladiators and it is between him and Nathan Rimmington on points accrued so far as an extra all-rounder. Rimmington bowled brilliantly in the first game but was expensive last time out. Nevertheless, he is a good option with the ball.

Bowlers
~

Zahir Khan and Migael Pretorius have been the top bowlers in the first two matches for the Gladiators respectively. They are both just eight credits too, which is excellent value. Sandeep Lamichhane is nine credits but was at his very best last time out, while Fawad Ahmed remains a key, experienced bowler with the Gladiators.

Captain/Vice-captain

Shane Watson has top-scored for the Gladiators in both matches so far and looks a great choice for captain, even if he is yet to bowl – and possibly unlikely to. For the Tuskers, Sandeep Lamichhane hit top bowling form last time out. He would be a good alternative, or at least vice-captain, if he continues that form

 Team Forms:

 Deccan Gladiators:

Deccan Gladiators lost to Delhi Bulls by seven wickets first up, despite Shane Watson hitting 57* in a total of 102/1 and Zahir Khan taking 3-17 in the reply. They bounced back against Bangla Tigers, however, as Watson hit 41 to lead a chase of 109 to win by six wickets.

 Karnataka Tuskers:

Karnataka Tuskers could not back up their opening win last time out in T10 League– Johnson Charles (57) and Hashim Amla (47*) helping them hit 114/1 only for them to fall to a five-wicket defeat. The Tuskers had previously beaten Delhi Bulls after Upul Tharanga scored 48 in a total of 110/5 and the Tuskers won by 19 runs.
