Pakistan have retained 13 players from their ODI squad for this three-match T20I series. Imam-ul-Haq, Abid Ali and Mohammad Rizwan are the ones to have been dropped and they have been replaced with Umar Akmal, Faheem Ashraf and Ahmed Shehzad. While Umar Akmal has not played a T20I for Pakistan since 2016, Ahmed Shehzad last featured in an international game in June 2018. Sarfaraz Ahmed is in charge of the team's 16-man T20I squad.

 SL Team News 

All-rounder Dasun Shanaka will be leading Sri Lanka's 16-man squad for this upcoming T20 international series against Pakistan. A total of ten players had opted to withdraw from this tour including Thisara Perera, Niroshan Dickwella, Suranga Lakmal, Angelo Mathews and regular T20 captain Lasith Malinga. The visitors have included three fresh faces in the squad - Oshada Fernando, Minod Bhanuka and Bhanuka Rajapaksa. Batsman Oshada Fernando is in line to make his T20I debut on Saturday and could be slotted at the top of the order.

-Haris Sohail is another must have pick in SL today. He is a consistent performer from this side too and will bat one down . He can bowl also. However his average is not very good in T20 format but his consistency make him a good fantasy pick. Punt C VC choice.

-Asif Ali is another attacking t20 batsman. He is a hard hitter batsman who will bat 3 down. Didn't got chance to play much cricket in recent times though.

-Avishka Fernando is a young talent from SL side. He is a hard hitting batsman too. Played really well in couple of matches after his debut this year. Didn't have much experience of playing T20 cricket but can be a good pick today considering his Batting skills which are off T20 level. He will open the innings.

-Oshada Fernando will bat one Down. He is a decent T20 batsman having average of only 13.3. He can be a good differential pick in SL today considering his selection % and credits. Didn't performed in last ODI series though.

-Iftikhar Ahmad is a decent all rounder who have the capability to play decent knocks and take wickets. He will 2 down and bowl some overs too. Performed decent in last ODI series. Can be a good punt today.

-Dasun Shanaka will bat 3 down for SL. He is a must have pick today in SL from SL cricket side due to his consistent performance in recent times with both bat and bowl. Played brilliantly in ODI series and will lead the team too. Punt C VC choice.

-Shehan Jayasuriya will bat 2 down. He had performed very good in ODO series with both bat and bowl. Expected to see good cricket again from him today. Good strike rate too in T20 format.

-Wanindu Hasaranga will bat down the order. He is a wicket take bowler and hard hitter of the bowl too as seen in last couple of matches. All the three all rounders are must pick in SL as they had been
