Pace bowler Umesh Yadav was brought into the side in place of all-rounder Hanuma Vihari in the last match. Yadav grabbed the opportunity with both hands as he took three wickets in both the South African innings and his top-notch performance should earn him a spot in the playing eleven for the final test. Kuldeep Yadav, Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill are waiting in the reserves but we don't think any of them will get picked for this game. The Indian team is coming off an emphatic win and could go into this match with an unchanged line-up.


 SA Team News 

South Africa have been dealt a couple of injury blows – opener Aiden Markram and spinner Keshav Maharaj have been ruled out of the third test with shoulder and wrist injuries respectively. Maharaj picked up the injury while fielding on the second day of the second test and he has now been replaced in the squad with left-arm spinner George Linde who is yet to represent the Proteas at the international stage. It remains to be seen whether the South African selectors will hand Linde his international debut or bring back off-spinner Dane Piedt who was underwhelming with the ball in the first test. Markram's unavailability will open the door for either Zubyr Hamza or Heinrich Klaasen - the only two batsmen waiting in the reserves.

Though openers Rohit Sharma and Mayank Agarwal have been outstanding with the bat, India's captain and run machine Virat Kohli remains the key man for India. Kohli is currently the world's second-best batsman in test cricket and he is coming off a flawless knock of an unbeaten 254.

 Cheteshwar Pujara: 
India's number three is a specialist test batsman and is very difficult to dismiss once he gets set. Pujara's scores in his previous two innings read 81 and 58. He even has a double-century in the only test match he has played at this ground.

 Ravindra Jadeja: 
He is ranked second in the ICC test rankings for all-rounders and his ability to produce healthy contributions with both bat and ball makes him a valuable player for this Indian team. Jadeja has been impressive with the bat in this series with scores of 30 not-out, 40 and 91 in addition to being among the leading wicket-takers with 10 wickets.

Dean Elgar:
The left-handed opening batsman will be South Africa's biggest hope with the bat at the top of the order. Elgar cracked a brilliant ton in the first test (160 runs) and scored 48 in his last innings. He is having an average of close to 40 in this format.

Quinton de Kock: 
The wicketkeeper has had a couple of good knocks in this series - 111 in the first match and 31 in the second. The centurion from the first test will be the team's key man in the middle order. de Kock is the only one in this side to be among the world's top ten test batsmen.

Kagiso Rabada: 
The fast bowler is the biggest threat in this South African bowling attack and he has done pretty well in this series with four wickets in two matches. Rabada is currently the world's second-best bowler in test cricket and he can trouble the Indian batsmen with the new ball.
