-Q de Kock has scored approx 500 runs in test cricket this calendar year at an average of 61 with the help of four half centuries and one ton. He will bat in middle order. Played very well in last T20 series and in first innings of the last match too scoring 55 runs. Must pick. Punt C VC choice.
- Wriddhiman Saha is playing ahead of Rishabh Pant in this series due to his recent form which he had shown in first class cricket. He will bat down the order and has experience of playing against this team too in year 2015. Can emerge as a very good pick today. However didn't got to bat much in last match.

-Virat Kohli will bat 2 down for India. He is crucial despite him not living up to the high standards he has set. He is default choice of C VC given his consistency in all forms of cricket. Scored only 20-30 runs in both the innings of last match.
-C Pujara will bat one down. He is a must pick batsman when it comes to test cricket. Most consistent scorer in test cricket from IND side. He had good record against the same team also when they played last time he was the leading run getter from Indian side with a ton. C VC choice. Played a well knock of 81 runs too in 2nd innings of last match.
-Ajinkya Rahane will bat 3 down. He had finished the WI tour as the second highest run getter with 271 runs. He is in a good form right now and he too have good record in test cricket against SA. Good pick in SL. Failed to score big in last match though but expected to see good cricket from him today.
-Rohit Sharma is currently one of the best batsman in every format of games. Doesn't have experience of playing much test cricket but whenever does, played good knocks with decent average of 39.62. He will open the innings. He scored a total of 303 runs in the first Test with the help of two tons and should be picked in the Fantasy team. C VC choice in SL.
-Hanuma Vihari is another credit saver good pick in SL. He had played brilliantly in last series against WI and scored 2 tons in last two innings. He is a good bowler too. Can be a very crucial pick at this pitch which will Favour the spinners as the game proceeds . He will bat very low. Good C VC in GL. Bowled some overs in last match but failed to score even decent runs.
-Faf du plesis will bat 3 down for SA ans he is currently one of the best batsman in the international cricket. He is in good form right now as seen in last ODI series against Sri Lanka . Must pick in SL and choice of C VC too. Played a decent knock of 55 runs in 1st Innings of last match too.
-Dean Elgar will open the innings. He was the leading run getter from SA side in last test series between them. Good record against Indian team. He is having a decent average of near to 40 which is good. Good pick in SL as he smashed 160 runs in first innings of the last match.
-Aiden Markram will open the innings too. He was in good form before last match with bat. Played very well in the recently concluded domestic match against IND A. However failed to score runs in last match but he is a potential batsman and can play top knock anytime. Good pick in SL. Average of 43.80 in test cricket.
-Temba Bavuma will bat 2 down. He had made his debut recently in T20 cricket and played brilliantly. He is a good test cricket player who plays very responsible cricket. Decent average too in
this format. Can be a good credit saver pick today. However he too failed to perform in last match.

-R Ashwin has been Indias best bet in home Tests. He has been a big threat always at Indian pitches which favoured spinners. He had goo record against SA too in test cricket as he had grabbed 38 wickets in only four test matches against them and batted very well. Must pick and default C VC in SL. Took 7 wickets in 1st Innings of the last match.
-R Jadeja is another must have bowler in SL today as pitch will help the spinners most. Coming from a good outing against WI recently. He can be a threat to the SA Batting lineup as they have many right handed top order batsman and his record is best against them. Punt C VC choice. Must try him C VC in GL. Took total 6 wickets and played two decent knocks of 40 & 30 runs too.
- Vernon Philander is another good choice in SL depending on his record in test cricket. He is a handy batsman with average 24.3 and economy rate of 2.66. He was the consistent wicket taker against india last time they faced each other. However failed to perform with both bat and bowl in last match as he took only 2 wickets and got ducks.
-S Muthusamy played his debut test match and performed really well with his all round skills. Took couple of wickets too by scoring two times 30+ runs too. Comes in only 8.0 credits. Can be preferred over Philander.

-Ishant Sharma is the most experienced bowler in the team and a wicket taker bowler too. Coming from a good series against WI where he took much wickets. He will lead the bowling attack. Good pick in SL. However got only a wicket in last match but can be crucial in this match as pitch is expected to get some help to the pacers.
-Mohammad Shami is another wicket taker bowler we had seen in last couple of series. He is in a great form with bowl since world cup. Took 5 wickets haul too in last match and won the match for IND.
-Kagiso Rabada is a wicket taker bowler from SA side. However he doesn't have goo d record against IND but he can be very crucial given his pace which cab trouble the Indian batsman. He too got only a wicket in last match.
-Keshav Maharaj had played his most of the matches outside the India and he had been outstanding with the ball. He has racked up 94 wickets in 24 test matches at pretty good average of 28.44. Took total 5 wickets in last match and bowled very well.
-Lungi Ngidi is expected to replace Dane Peidt in this match as he had failed badly in last match giving much runs and not getting any wicket. Ngidi is a good choice as he has the potential to take couple of wickets.
